Scrappin4funchallenges #103

Hi everyone.......

This week i am working with a digi image from Bugaboo Stamps for our Scrapping4funchallenges #103. This weeks theme was Winter Wonderland! and i loved this fun image, so decided to make it bright and cheery.

I used a mixture of topics and regular pens to colour the image. keeping the background simple with a block layout.

and adding some bakers twine, so many great images on this site. I will be getting a few more to try for sure!

This was made on an 8x8 card and will have a sentiment added once i decide who its for teehee

Scrapping 4 fun challenges #101

Hi Everyone!! I'm here again with another piece for Scrapping 4 fun challenges this time our sponsor is Cute as a Button With these amazing autumn digital stamp.

I chose this image and decided that i would try some water coolers to colour the image, i haven't painted for some time, but over all i am happy with how it turned out.

i then matted the image with some rusty coloured plain card stock, and echoed to make an easel card.

This card is 8x8 inches
I used the echo park autumn range to make the backgrounds and added a 'Autumn" journalling card it the bottom

Added some prima paper flowers and some other mulberry paper flowers.
Along with a little stitched ribbon to break up the orange.

Because i just loved ink splats at the moment i then covered the image i had coloured with a blank pice of paper and flicked some rust mica spray over the whole card! all done :)

Was a great quick project to make, autumn is my favourite time of year.

Why not have a go at your own, and enter them over at scrapping 4 fun challenges!

Happy crafting

Scrapping 4 fun challenges Layouts #1

Hey everyone, I am excited to tell you i have been chosen to also be a DT for Scrapping4fun Challenges Layouts which means i get to make some awesome Scrapbooking Layouts and show you guys some of the products and technics used.

This Months challenge is sponsored by Scrapping4fun challenges Voucher for 20.00

I used the my Indigo Blush Pickle Pack from Pickle Paper Patch. I layered the the papers adding some shimmer sprays and some metallic bronze paint flicked across the background.

I used some of the petaloo flowers and enamel shapes to accent the paper.

These cosmic shimmer spray are just so glittery and metallic is hard to show in a photo, but they really make the background stand out!

I used some leather effect alpha's from Pink Fresh Studio to make the title.

This was a really quick and fab layout to make using some of the small piece of paper left from other projects! so great no waste!

Thanks for looking and Happy Crafting

Scrapping4fun challenges #100

Hi Guys!! I'm back again with another Dt piece for Scrapoing4funchallenges this is challenge #100 sponsored by Digistamps4joy

After working with some under the sea themes recently i decided to choose an under the sea image to make a card.

I printed the image and painted with some acrylic paints adding some shimmer to the fish scales, and hearts with some Stickles glitter glue.

i then cut out some scales from the Bo bunny collection down by the sea. and add a few flowers and ribbon. Sometimes simply designs are more effective and i didn't want to take away from the super cute digi design!

It was a great fun design to use and i tried to keep it very fun and light!

Products used - Bo Bunny Down by the sea paper
Mulberry paper flowers
Grosgrain spotted ribbon

Scrapping4funChallenge #98 - Different Techniques

Yay!! I am so excited to be part of a new team! Scrapping4funchallenge ! This is my first piece for there latest challenge #98 - Different Techniques sponsored by Fabrika Fantasy

I decided that after some time away from scrapbooking i would have a go at the mixed media style that i have been working with on other projects. Ive taken a few progress shots to show you how i went about it.

I took some light white gesso to roughly cover the card, as this is a light weight card it needs some gesso to make it with stand the ink and sprays I'm going to use.

Also it give some layered depth to the piece.

I then took some copper acrylic paint, silvery grey ink spray, and ultra thick embossing powder.
I used the stencil to emboss some arrow shapes then used the spray and ink to build up the background. I literally just had fun and sprayed flicked and dripped it every where! I also added extra water in places to get the ink to run.

Then i looked at the layering for under the photo, i used doilies and tulle. Various papers and added some tag shapes with bakers twine.i used a stapler to keep them all together. This leaves them to have some 'air' between layers. giving them a more textured effect.
I stamped through the stencil with some black distress inks to give some darker spot to the background. And added a tiny wooden camera.

I added some enamel dots and paper flowers around the layering.

Lastly i added the caption, on some foam dots.

I have really enjoyed making this piece and hopefully the start of many more scrapbooking projects!

Products used -:

Bazzill textured cardstock
Cosmic ink sprays and ultra thick embossing powder
Hobby craft metallic acrylic paint - copper
Tim hotlz distress ink - black soot
All papers and stickers are from the Pickle Paper Patch August Pickle Pack Indigo Blush
